Bayswater Womens Workshop (BWW)

The BWW is a community space for women to gather, learn and share. We offer hands-on tool skill, hobby craft and creative workshops in a supportive, no-experience-needed environment.

  • Tool Skills Workshops – Shed Basics and Drilling 101 are our beginner friendly shed intro workshops. Great for anyone wanting to learn the basics of key hand and power tools – compulsory prerequisites to attending our Open Shed, Make-A-Thing and Shed. Available to Members and Casual Members. Bookings essential.
  • Open Shed: Bring a small project of yours to the shed, and work on it with support. Available to Members only.
  • Make-A-Thing: We make-a-simple-thing together (ie. small shelf, serving tray or simple decor etc) so you can practice using a range of hand and power tools . Available to Members only. Bookings essential.
  • Women’s Shed: Lead by a skilled and experienced female tradie you’ll get involved in creating, making, building or renovating larger scales projects (ie. garden beds, benches, cupboards etc). Aiming to start these in OCTOBER/NOVEMBER. Available to Members only. Bookings essential.
  • Craft Club held monthly at the Baysie Bowlo, these sessions are a chance to connect and create. Free – Available to Members and Casual Members. Bookings encouraged.
  • Community Workshops: Our Saturday morning Community Workshops include things like Upcycle Club, Paddock to Plate, Busy Bees and Share-A-Skill. Available to Members and Casual Members. Bookings essential. Small cash donation to help cover material costs.

MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS

The BWW is open to Women 18yo and over with various membership options available.

  • ORDINARY MEMBER $160/yr – Access to workshops/events, Subsidised rates for some workshops/events, Tool library borrowing, Voting rights at AGM, Eligible for Board positions, Volunteer.
  • WORKSHOP ONLY MEMBER $100/yr – Access to workshops/events, Subsidised rates for some workshops/events, Volunteer.
  • CONNECT MEMBER $40/yr – Access to workshops/events, Subsidised rates for some workshops/events, Volunteer. **This heavily subsidised membership is available to community members requiring financial assistance. To apply please email Bayswaterwomenshub@gmail.com

HOW TO SIGN UP

  1. Go to https://bayswaterwomenshub.com.au/membership/ and fill out the online application form.
  2. Once you’ve submitted the application form, you’ll receive an email (CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER!!) letting you know your application has been received and is being processed **memberships can take up to 5 days to process/approve
  3. Once we’ve processed your application you’ll receive an email (CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER!!) letting you know we’ve approved your membership and payment has been taken. This email will also explain HOW you can access your online account and workshop booking system. **If the payment is unsuccessful you will receive an email (CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER!!) letting you know. If this happens please email us to discuss. Your membership will not be approved until payment has cleared >> bayswaterwomenshub@gmail.com

💻 HOW TO LOGIN

FIRST TIME LOGGING IN: To log into waarble for the FIRST TIME go to the login page and click Forgot Password. This will allow you to set your password for the first time. Enter your email address in the Forgot your password form and click Submit. You will then receive an email (check spam) with a link to reset your password. Click the link and enter a new password in the reset password form. Once your password has been reset, return to the login page and log in using your email address and reset (new) password.

REGULAR LOGIN: To log into waarble go to the login page and log in using your email address and password.

❤️ WE HEART VOLUNTEERS

Volunteers are the heart and soul of our shed. If you can spare two hours on a weekend or weeknight, 2-4 times over the year, to help out at a workshop or event, we would love to hear from you. Complete this VOLUNTEER APPLICATION form or bayswaterwomensworkshoip@gmail.com for more information.

We love building community and connection by supporting women to share what they know with other women! We’re always looking for community members willing to donate two hours of their time to share a skill in a casual workshop setting at the shed. Whether it’s craft, cooking, gardening, wellbeing, DIY, creativity, life skills or something completely different — we’d love to hear from you. Fill out this EOI form and we’ll be in touch).
